Beginners Junk Journal

In this beginner’s junk journal class, we will be making a journal from recycled items. This could be things like magazine pages, patterned paper, music sheets, envelopes, maps, paper bags, greeting cards, washi tape, ribbon, stamps and any other collections of “stuff” around the house or in your mixed-media supply stash. Your journal will have pockets, and flaps that can be used for keeping a diary full of keepsakes or you can use your journal for writing.
Give yourself a treat—Create a junk journal from start to finish that is unique to you. Make a cover, signatures(pages) and decorate with embellishments.

Supplies list:
A variety of paper: cardstock, printing paper, water colors, paint brushes, scissors, glue, modge podge, envelopes (can be recycled) cereal box cardboard, deli paper, handmade papers, greeting cards, washi tape, large paper clips, ribbons, lace, doilies, double sided tape, markers, colored pencils, magazine cut outs, wipes, acrylic paints and markers, tea and coffee stained papers.
We will be using all kinds of art supplies and paper stuff you have around the house. Heavy thread and large needle with blunt end and something sharp to poke hole. ( You can use an ice pick, awl or a large push pin)
